9th Grade Success

IN COLLABORATION WITH UNIVERSITY OF OREGON AND STAND FOR CHILDREN, TEAMS WILL FOCUS ON STRENGTHS-BASED AND SYSTEMS APPROACH TO IMPROVE 9TH GRADE OUTCOMES AND EXPERIENCES FOR STUDENTS.

SCHOOL TEAMS WILL DEVELOP A 9TH GRADE SYSTEM PROBLEM OF PRACTICE AND MAKE PROGRESS TOWARDS SOLVING THE PROBLEM THROUGH A CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PROCESS WITH A NETWORK OF SCHOOL TEAMS ENGAGED IN THE WORK.

TEAMS WILL FOCUS ON A CURRENT RESEARCH AND PRACTICE REGARDING HOW CHILDREN LEARN BEST, WHILE MAKING TEACHING AND LEARNING MEANINGFUL, RELEVANT, AND FUN.

TEAMS WILL FOCUS ON CREATING CHILD-CENTERED LEARNING SPACES THAT PROMOTE CHILD GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT, AND ACADEMIC PROFICIENCY.

TEAMS WILL WORK TO IMPROVE SCHOOL CLIMATE AND CULTURE THROUGH A CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PROCESS FRAMED BY DEEPER LEARNING AND CULTURALLY SUSTAINING PEDAGOGIES.

TEAMS WILL USE CLIMATE / CULTURE TOOLS AND THE NETWORK TO IDENTIFY AND ENACT IMPROVEMENTS TO THEIR SYSTEM TO CREATE MORE EQUITABLE AND INCLUSIVE SPACES FOR STUDENTS.
